Originally from a small town in Kentucky, Debra currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. For over twenty years she worked in television programming and distribution and held staff positions at WNET/13, Group W Cable, Fox/Lorber Associates and Vision TV (now Hallmark). After starting a family she chose to work as a consultant and spent several years working for clients such as The Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Discovery Networks and National Geographic Television.
In 2010, after taking a class in digital photography at the International Center for Photography in New York, she became hooked and has transitioned into doing photography full time. Her work has won awards in photo competitions and was recently part of a group show at the Soho Photo Gallery in New York City. One of her images was chosen for the juried Slow Exposures show in Georgia. Street and documentary photography are her passions.
